Fall in Japan is the perfect time for moon viewing. There are many events at night for people to come together to enjoy the beautiful moon. But, it is also a time to drink and eat on the cheap!

The above picture is from a moon viewing event in Himeji. It was only $5 for the oden. And, $5 more got a cup full of sake. You can fill the sake up over and over again all night long! Too, you get to take the cup home. There is a different design each year!

You can end up with quite a unique collection!

As you might expect, the moon viewing parties are popular among salary men, young people, and foreigners. It is a great atmosphere. If you love a good time, and, of course, drinking cheap sake until you drop, you must go!
